ūüôā Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain, He washed me white as snow. (:

Psalm 116

I love the Lord, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.
2 Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

3 The pains of death surrounded me,
And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me;
I found trouble and sorrow.
4 Then I called upon the name of theLord:
‚ÄúO¬†Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul!‚ÄĚ

5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
Yes, our God is merciful.
6 The Lord preserves the simple;
I was brought low, and He saved me.
7 Return to your rest, O my soul,
For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

8 For You have delivered my soul from death,
My eyes from tears,
And my feet from falling.
9 I will walk before the Lord
In the land of the living.
10 I believed, therefore I spoke,
‚ÄúI am greatly afflicted.‚ÄĚ
11 I said in my haste,
‚ÄúAll men¬†are¬†liars.‚ÄĚ

12 What shall I render to the Lord
For all His benefits toward me?
13 I will take up the cup of salvation,
And call upon the name of theLord.
14 I will pay my vows to the Lord
Now in the presence of all His people.

15 Precious in the sight of the Lord
Is the death of His saints.

16 O Lord, truly I am Your servant;
I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant;
You have loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And will call upon the name of theLord.

18 I will pay my vows to the Lord
Now in the presence of all His people,
19 In the courts of the Lord’s house,
In the midst of you, O Jerusalem.

Praise the Lord!

All Things Work Together for Good

28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29¬†For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:28,29

God shows this to me everyday: that the good, the bad, and the ugly, are always part of a better plan. His plan for His child.

No matter what dark waters overwhelm my soul, in spite of their darkness and deepness, they always sink away. Because God shows His mercy and light always.

As a Christian, life is often full with persecution. It’s a different kind. Unbelievers are constantly unsettled, unhappy, without hope, without direction. I know. And believers they are faced with very hard trials, caused by the sin in their own lives and the fiery darts of the Wicked One.

Sometimes it seems He is near and distant at the same time. Not because I really think He is, but because the trials are so heavy.

I ask HIM why.

He shows me: all things work together for good.

Sometimes the bad causes healing. Something better to happen. And He always fills me even more overflowing with HIS joy, hope, grace, love, thankfulness. His Spirit.

It is in hard times that I cry out to Him most. And He always hears me. My expectations may take longer than my sinful heart wants, but they always come at the perfect time. Things always work out for good.

When persecutions and trials are severe, I know this promise is true. Because it is His promise, the promise of God, maker of heaven and Earth!

He promises to give us joy, to be closer to us than ever before, to give us His Spirit.

And now His mercies are showering on me mercy after mercy, and the mercy I am most thankful for is His Spirit: joy and thanksgiving.

Because even in the good times He is bringing me on  my knees, not from the weight of my sins and this world, but because of the JOY that makes me fall down and praise Him!

Lord, thank You for always keeping Your promises! Your word is unfailing, and Your mercy endures forever! Please keep the temptations and the trials of the Evil One away from me, guard me. And cause me never to forget you, and need reminding through trials, but to continue to remember Your mercy and grace and infinite LOVE. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, and My Savior, A-men.

Hymn: My Jesus

My Jesus I love Thee I known I am Thine,

You loved Me before I ever called You mine

My gracious Redeemer, My Savior art Thou,

If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus tis now.

You loved me in life, You have loved me in death,

You love me as long as Thou givest me breath,

And when death’s dew runs coldly down my brow,

My Jesus, You love me, forever is Thy vow

My sins, oh the wretchedness, I fully despise,

Takes over my soul, plots my loved ones’ demise

Oh save me from hurting You, My Savior, My crown,

If ever You loved me, sanctify me now.

You know how I sin, You know my regret.

Now fill me with You, My Savior, I beg

You saved me, You love Me,

You died for me, You rose again,

You’ve always loved me, My helper, My friend.

With this Lord, concludes my prayer song to Thee,

Now from life’s cruel chains, Lord,

Oh settest me free

My Lord, cause me at Your feet to bow,

Lord cause me to love Thee as You lovest me now.
